Melbourne Vixens take on West Coast Fever
If you return the clock for a few months, very few people would dream of Vixens in the big finals this evening.
Vixens made a rocky start to the season and after the first six rounds, it won only two wins on the board. McKinnis, who has been in the rudder for 13 years, announced that he would resign at the end of the season and stunned the Netball world in May and now confesses that his own problems affect the team.

“To be honest, I don’t think I am the best because of everything in the background, Mc McKinnis said to this Masthead. “The girls were playing how I felt.”
13 years later, the decision to resign in the world proved that there was a turning point for Vixens, McKinnis said he allowed the team to focus and won eight of the next 10 matches to reach the big finals.
However, they almost failed.
Vixen was in a terrible position against the NSW Swifts in the pre-finals last week, fell 51-41 at the last break. McKinnis’s mixing of three quarters of time, the last seven seconds of the quarter of the team’s victory with a goal by sealing a goal scorer Sophie Garbin with an extraordinary 11 goals triggered the return.
