Cloaking tactics: alleged hacker hides face with jumper

An electrical engineering student accused of secretly accused of hacking to his university, resorted to a much less complex strategy to hide his identity: a pink Jumper.

27 -year -old Birdie Kingston first took part in a cyber crime by calling a discounted park on a West Sydney University campus and transforming one of its notes from the transition to passage.

They claim that their attacks have increased until they run a “ongoing and continuous campaign” against the university.

He is accused of holding the university as a ransom from November, and eventually demands $ 40,000 in the crypto currency to stop the delicate data about staff and students.

Kingston took part in the Penrith Local Court on Friday with his family.

Stephen Corry, the Magistrate Judge NSW Public Prosecutor’s Office Director, was told whether he would decide whether he would take control of the issue from the police.

Apart from the court, the 27 -year -old was accompanied by his father while covering his face with a light pink Jumper to hide his face from reporters.

He didn’t say anything while fighting to open the door of a car waiting by his mother.

In September 2023, the residence of the student and another raid of the Kingswood office in June resulted in the arrest of 20 fraud and cyber charges.

He did not satisfy him and his issue will return to the same court on August 1st.

In June, the University of Western Sydney said that the attacks had a significant impact on the university community and that increments were made to prevent similar events in the future.

“This includes new technologies that improve our ability to employ expert personnel, to identify, respond and defense of threats to our digital environment.” He said.
