Mets reporter dissects team’s miserable season while Pride Night Mr. Met dances behind him

The New York Mets are in turmoil after a brutal start to a promising season.
On Friday the team hit a bad point, firing manager Carlos Mendoza… but you wouldn’t know that from looking at Mr. Met.
She was having the time of her life dancing behind a reporter while wearing her best Pride outfit.

In what felt like a dream, the PIX 11 studio crew was talking with reporter Steve Gelbs ahead of a game against the division rival Philadelphia Phillies.

Frankly, the tone was a bit somber as Gelbs was giving a review (live cut?) of the team’s season and the one where everything went wrong.
But “gloomy” isn’t in Pride Night Mr. Met’s vocabulary.
Considering the circumstances, it was very… ah… ostentatious.
Miss Met will need to start asking herself some tough questions…
This is one of those moments when you watch the broadcast, Gay Pride Mr. You see the Met doing Party Boy behind a reporter and he turns to someone and says, “Did that just happen, or is there a gas leak in this house?” you have to ask.
In fact, I’m glad that maybe for the first time, a team threw a completely unnecessary Pride Night because it made the clip a lot more entertaining.
Regular Mr. Met dancing behind Steve Gelbs? It’s pretty funny.

So, if you’re a mascot artist, you should probably be aware of how your team is playing and perhaps tone down your work just a touch.
Even if it’s Pride Night and everything has a little more “pizzazz” to it, you can still keep things somewhat calm eight hours after the manager has been handed a pink slip.

Frankly, I think this should be the final straw for Mr. Met.
Then the Mets could adopt the only mascot that actually cares about on-field performance, McDonald’s famous Grimace.
