Miami Marlins may actually, legitimately be cursed

You’ve probably read this headline and thought to yourself: “Yes, the sky is blue too. Where are you going with this?”
I realize the Miami Marlins, with their numerous sellouts and abysmal attendance numbers, aren’t exactly the picture of a model MLB team, but every once in a while, even when the team starts to show signs that they’re not completely poor, a sign from God comes along and reminds fans that they’re not designed to entertain.
A few weeks ago, the Marlins sat atop the NL East with an 8-5 record, trailing the Cincinnati Reds two games out of four and might even have won the series had it not been for a sudden pitching change by embattled manager Clayton McCullough.

They were the toast of the town.
MLB Network devoted entire episodes to talking about how dangerous, young, and talented this club was.
Heck, even I was joining in on the fun and double-fisting the Kool-Aid.
Since that moment, the Marlins have lost seven of their last eight games and appear to be in full freefall mode.
But there was light at the end of the tunnel; A glimmer of hope in a sea of sewage.
The Marlins were ready to get their best position player back in outfielder Kyle Stowers.
Stowers would step in after starting the season on the injured list, meaning Fish would return an All-Star and a scoring machine to the center of his lineup.
And that was the first plate he returned on Sunday, rocking his nostalgic uniforms.
Oh no! We suck again!
Nothing like pulling 102 off your pinky finger to welcome back to the Majors, right kid?
Although Stowers would eventually return and even double in his next plate appearance, I can’t think of many other franchises that would see their franchise player come this close to another long-term injury right after being taken off the IL.
Fans were also disturbed by the whole situation and voiced their concerns to X while realizing that this was just another day in the life of a Miami Marlins fan.
Not many people know what torture it is to be a Marlins fan, but I can assure you that nothing in life can prepare you for it.
You’re not even disappointed, you just know something bad is going to happen and you never give up hope in the first place.
It looks like Stowers will be fine, but I’m sure everyone has already moved on and braced themselves for the next series of unfortunate events.
Rinse and repeat, Pisces fanatics.
