The Colorado Rockies have MLB’s worst record in 2025. The team fell to 2-5 at the start of the 2026 season following a 10-1 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday.

The franchise has never won the NL West title or the World Series. The Rockies haven’t reached the postseason since 2018, when they clinched a wild-card berth. Complicating their comeback hopes, the Rockies compete in the same division as the back-to-back World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers.

One of the Rockies’ rising stars says he’s eager to turn things around in Colorado and end the team’s playoff drought despite the odds they face.

The Colorado outfielder has been sidelined for six of the Rockies’ first seven games this season with a sprained right ring finger. But his situation would likely be different if the team had a playoff berth. “Oh, I would cut it” Moniak said reporters.
