Mike Tindall appeared to offer an unexpected olive branch to Prince Harry on the podcast’s official Instagram account. The 47-year-old co-hosts the rugby-focused podcast T.The Good, the Bad and RugbyWith James Haskell and Alex Payne.

During an appearance on the Joe Marler Will See You Now podcast earlier this month, Harry was asked to name the “most famous person” in his phone book and chose Mr. Haskell. Speaking about the sports star, Harry said: “You’ve seen them play rugby, which makes it a sport worth watching. They’re good-looking guys too.”

Clearly excited by the shout-out, James shared the video on the podcast’s Instagram page.

“You can’t argue with the Duke, can you?” he wrote, then added with a wink: “Looks like 1-0, Marler.”

This comes just weeks after Mike made the announcement during an off-camera speech at the literary festival in Powys, Wales.

Speaking about his wedding to his wife Zara in 2011, the former England center said he was pleased that James managed not to embarrass himself at the ceremony.

He then mentioned Harry and added: “A lot of other people have done it better than you. [like] Harry, when it was fun.”

Mike married Zara in July 2011; This was five years before Harry married US actress Meghan Markle.

Harry once shared a close relationship with Zara and Mike; Harry even acted as godfather to the couple’s youngest daughter, eight-year-old Lena.

Although they don’t appear to have met many times since Harry’s exit from royal life, Mike is known to have visited near Harry’s California home in 2023 – but it remains unclear whether the two will ever meet.
