Millie Bobby Brown and Louis Partridge on belly laughs, sibling vibes and Enola Holmes
Enola stays with him so much that Brown’s husband, Jake Bongiovi, who also worked on the film, says he sometimes takes the character home with him.
Brown agrees that Enola will definitely stay with him, and jokes that the young detective’s high standards might fit into her home, too.
“Enola is a high-maintenance place, and sometimes I get home and wonder, ‘Why does the bed look like that?’ I think. “So I said, Millie, calm down, you don’t need to talk like that.”
He says Enola’s intelligence is what protects him the most.
Partridge recalls that shooting was halted “for five hours” because Brown thought Enola would figure things out sooner.
“He said: No, no, no, Enola would have known the flag belonged to this country and she would have taken care of it.”
Brown interjected, laughing. “Oh please, it wasn’t five hours,” he says. Partridge revised it to three, but Brown still doesn’t have that number.
“He’s such a liar, it didn’t even last three hours,” he says.
She insists that she’s usually the “biggest girl when it comes to getting things done quickly,” but says it’s important.
“Like the fans who criticize everything, I want to make sure I bring to life a plot that makes sense and characters that people can believe in.”
