Minehead school bus crash latest: One child killed and 21 injured after coach carrying pupils overturns in Somerset

Beacon Education Multi-Academy Trust, who directed the school, cleaned the accident that led to the death of IT student.

In a statement, he said: “We confirmed that a student from Minehead Secondary School died tragically after a traffic incident that includes a coach and a coach returning from an education visit.

“Some people who have serious injuries were taken to hospital.

“Our thoughts and prayers are family, friends and everyone who is affected by this terrible accident.

“The whole school community has been devastated by this news and we will do everything we can to support everyone affected.”
