Minister Steps In To Calm Jagtial Congress Rift

Karimnagar: Welfare minister Adluri Laxman Kumar stepped in to resolve a growing dispute within the Jagtial Congress party. He led a group of 56 senior leaders who were set to meet Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday to complain about being ignored and treated unfairly by the local leadership.
These members are long-term workers who remained with the Congress even after former leader T. Jeevan Reddy left to join the BRS.
The trouble started when senior workers and nine councilors felt they were not respected. Local MLA Dr. They accused Sanjay Kumar of monopolizing power and giving important posts only to his close followers.
A major point of contention was the election of associate members in the local government. Senior leaders alleged that the MLA favored his own associates while sidelining those who served the party for years. One of the leaders said that they were promised respect and position in exchange for their loyalty, but now they are treated as foreigners.
Minister Laxman Kumar raised the issue with the Prime Minister to prevent escape. Following his intervention, senior party leaders assured disgruntled workers that their concerns would be addressed and they would be treated fairly.
Meanwhile, DCC chairman Gajengi Nandaiah said the planned meeting with the Prime Minister was put on hold after the minister helped defuse tensions. He added that all leaders, including the MLA, agreed to work together peacefully under the leadership of Revanth Reddy.
