Mitchum deodorants recalled after itchy, burning armpits claims

A well-known deodorant brand apologized and remembered some Roll-on products after leaving customers with itchy, burning armpits.

Mitchum’s 48-hour roller-Perspirant and Deodorant consumers, social media, after using rolls, “Crying Points”, complained how they experienced redness and irritation.

A customer who sent Tiktok to Tiktok claimed that they wanted to “tear off my armpits”, while the other felt that the armpits were “on fire”.

The company said it was “really sad” and explained how a change in the production process was impressed and remembered for 100ml parties sold in England, Ireland and South Africa.

Hundreds of people began to share videos of their experiences on social media, including a customer explaining how he was in pain due to the “crying points” under his arm.

“I will not use the product again because I do not risk it again,” he said.

A woman said she couldn’t sleep after applying to Roll-on skin because Deodorant left her with “second-degree chemical burns on my armpits”.

Another described the armpit skin as developing a pink rash with “crustic”.

A Mitchum spokesman, the brand “some of our customers are really upset that temporary irritation,” he said.

The Company said: “We want to make sure that there is no change in the formula of our products, but we have determined a change that affects one of our raw materials during the production process.

“This affected how Rollo interacted with some users’ skin.”

He said that the problem has been “solved” since then and has been trying to “remove a small amount of product” in the shops.

“In addition, we have returned to the original production process to ensure that any other party is not affected,” the spokesman said.

Mitchum advised everyone to contact the customer service team to contact the team, so that they can “do this correctly”.
