Moment armed police smash windows of BMW and pull out gang members before seizing swords and a loaded handgun

Armed police smashed the windows of a BMW and seized gang members’ swords and a loaded gun after a man was badly beaten in Birmingham.
The car has been linked to an attack three days ago in which a construction worker was beaten with metal poles.
The person, whose legs and left arm were broken in the attack, was taken to the hospital and underwent surgery.
The attackers fled the scene in a white BMW, which police followed from London to the Black Country Route on September 15.
Body-worn footage shows the moment West Midlands Police officers caught up with the vehicle.
Two police cars blocked the road and armed officers surrounded the BMW.
One of the police officers shouted: ‘Get out of the car immediately. ‘Show me your hands.’
When the people inside refused to get out of the vehicle, the police broke the windows from both sides.

The suspects, for whom the police found a gun, were dragged from the vehicle.
Gurwinder Singh (25), Harpandeep Singh (23), Harshehajdeep Singh (21) and Zorawar Singh (31) were arrested on the spot.
4 suspects were taken out of the vehicle and taken into custody. A gun is visible in the footwell when lifted from the passenger seat.
The gun contained 11 bullets, and swords and other weapons were found in the back of the car.
All four men were sentenced at Wolverhampton Crown Court on 9 July, with each sentenced to a minimum of five years in prison.
Gurwinder Singh, 25, of Ealing, London, admitted possession of a firearm, ammunition and five swords and was sentenced to five years and 11 months in prison.

DC Kyle Bowering, from our Major Crime Unit, said: ‘This investigation led to the seizure of a loaded gun, as well as swords which will no doubt be used in crime to harm and threaten others.
‘These weapons have now been removed from the streets and those caught with them have remained behind bars for several years.’
