Moment Lammy puts poppy on midway through PMQs | News

David Lammy wore a poppy midway through Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday (November 5).

As the deputy prime minister filled in for Sir Keir Starmer at the letterbox, Education Minister Bridget Phillipson, who was sitting next to him, pinned a poppy to his jacket after handing him one.

He explained: “I bought a new suit this morning because my godmother said she’d be watching… I’m very grateful to the honorable member for Sunderland South for making sure I managed to keep my poppies on even though I was wearing a new suit.”
