Monaco bomb blast suspect found shot dead in Kyiv | World | News

The body of a woman suspected of being behind the recent explosions at Monoco has been found dead near Kiev. Anastasiia Berezovska’s body was believed to have been found around 11pm last night, June 6th.
According to Ukrainian publication Pravda, a 39-year-old Ukrainian woman was shot, according to sources. In addition, two suspects, an officer working in the Main Intelligence Directorate and a former police officer, were also detained. Berezovska’s name was included in an Interpol Red Notice on Friday, seeking her arrest on charges of attempted murder, planting an explosive device in a public place with intent to commit a crime and criminal conspiracy.
A Red Notice is an alert sent to 196 member states asking them to locate and arrest a person.
It is thought she dressed as a man to place the booby-trapped backpack. The Monaco prosecutor had previously claimed that the person who planted the bomb detonated the explosive using a remote control.
The prosecutor stated that a car with German license plate passing through Italy and various countries may have been used by the suspect.
He is believed to have thrown away his backpack, which exploded at the entrance just before 9pm on June 29, and is thought to have been around 12 meters away when he triggered the device.
Authorities believe the Ukrainian citizen had the house under control for several days.
Three people were injured in the wealthy principality when a parcel bomb exploded in what was thought to be an attack on a Ukrainian-born oligarch.
Monaco authorities have not confirmed the identities of the victims, but according to well-placed sources, the attack targeted 58-year-old Vadym Iermolaiev, a wealthy businessman originally from Ukraine and now a Cypriot citizen, his partner and his son.
Iermolaiev, who renounced his Ukrainian citizenship about ten years ago, was the target of Ukrainian sanctions in 2023 due to his ties with Russia.
