Monsoon tracker July 3, 2026 LIVE: ‘Orange’ alert for rain in Uttarakhand’s Nainital, Bageshwar
The Ludhiana Municipal Corporation has set up a technology-enabled ‘Monsoon War Room’ to monitor the city round-the-clock through 1,700 CCTV cameras and ensure immediate response to monsoon-related issues, Punjab Local Government Minister Harjot Singh Bains said on Thursday (July 2).
Bains, who inspected the facility set up at the Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) in MC Zone D in Sarabha Nagar on Thursday, said the war room streams live HD images from flood-prone intersections, low-lying colonies and vulnerable drains onto video walls.
Bains said in a statement that the system will detect flooding within seconds and help map the spread of flooding, allowing teams to be deployed to precise locations and reducing response time from hours to minutes.
