Multi-vehicle crash causes major delays on Monash Freeway

After bringing the Monash motorway of a multi -vehicle collision to stop, on Thursday morning, the police faced long delays and the police closed three of the four outgoing strips in Berwick in southeast of Melbourne.

The Ministry of Transport says that the speed limit in an open strip fell to 40 km/h before Clyde Road.

There are more than one police unit at the scene, the callers report to 3AW 14 or 15 police cars.

Brad Arnoldt, the Ministry of Transport, told ABC Radio in the strips connected to Melbourne, “People slow down to look at what’s going on a little to look at” there is heavy traffic.

“Here I live on the Clyde road exit ramp, I have 15 police cars in front of me and the traffic stops,” he said.
