Mum, 43, and daughter, 7, killed in horrific crash – family pay emotional tribute | UK | News

The family of a mother and daughter who lost their lives in a terrible accident commemorated the duo, whom they described as “the two most beautiful souls you will ever meet.” Mary Michelle Devine, 43, and her seven-year-old daughter Theia were traveling in a red Ford Fiesta at 10 a.m. last Thursday morning.
Emergency services were notified of a single vehicle collision on the A3 near the Hindhead Tunnel on the Surrey-Hampshire border. Although they quickly rushed to the scene, the mother and daughter from Portsmouth were pronounced dead.
The couple’s family shared a heartbreaking tribute: “Our beautiful, darling little Theia, who was so trusting and life-giving, and our crazy Michelle, energetic and with a heart of gold.”
He added: “We truly love them and will miss them every day.
“They both had so much personality and so much love that our hearts broke.”
Hampshire Police said their investigation into the incident is ongoing and they are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
At the time of the incident, a police spokesman said: “A red Ford Fiesta was reported to have left the carriageway.
“Two people – a 43-year-old woman and a seven-year-old girl, both from Portsmouth – were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“We would like to thank motorists for their patience as the A3 southbound remained closed for several hours until it reopened.
“We would like to speak to any witnesses, and particularly anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident or the moments leading up to it.
“If you have any information please call 101 quoting reference 44260083669.”
