Murder investigation launched after pregnant woman found dead
Police, a pregnant woman in the district after being found dead, a murder investigation was initiated, he said.
The Northern Ireland Police Service (PSNI) said that two of them were in a property in the Elmfield Walk region of Donaghadee, Sarah Montgomery.
A 28 -year -old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and the police were detained.
Detective Chief Inspector Tom Phillips said the police received a report on Saturday at 14.15, an unconscious woman with a serious injury in a house.
Northern Ireland Ambulance Service officers and medical officials, medical treatment at the scene provided.
Mr. Phillips said that the 27 -year -old child, who was also pregnant, died at the scene.
There is a cord around the address while the police investigated.
“Investigations are in an early stage of this deep tragic case. While our thoughts struggle to deal with the ones, these incredibly difficult times with Sarah’s family.”
“Sarah’s family is supported by specially trained civil servants while the investigation continues.”
Northern Regional Chief Inspector Yvonne Mcmanus said that the police understood that the incident would “cause shock and concern in society ve and that the police would have in the region.
“Local people will still see our officers in the region and around the cords today,” he said.
He called on those who have knowledge to talk to the officers.
Ms. Mcmanus also emphasized the commitment of power to fight against women and girls, and that this has a “deep effect on individuals, families and society.
“To address this problem continues to be a main priority and we are determined to interact directly with the local community to provide support, to create confidence and to help people feel safe,” he added.
“I appeal to everyone who believes that we can have information that can help us to communicate with us at 101.”
