National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has projected priority sector credit potential of Rs 4.88 lakh crore in Rajasthan for 2026-27. The State Focus Document (SFP), which reveals the realistic potential on a regional basis, both physically and financially, was launched in Jaipur on Friday, February 13, 2026.

Chief Secretary V. Srinivas highlighted the State Budget outlay of ₹ 6.11 lakh crore while announcing the SFP at NABARD’s State Credit Seminar. Mr. Srinivas said NABARD is carrying out credit planning along with preparation of SFP for the next financial year to align financial institutions with the development priorities of the State.

Mr. Srinivas asked banks and other stakeholders to work together to achieve the projections made in the SFP. “NABARD has played an important role in strengthening the cooperative movement through computerization, training programs and financial support to cooperatives,” he said.

R. Ravi Babu, Director General, NABARD Rajasthan, said that the priority sector credit potential has been calculated in line with the State government’s vision of ‘Advanced Rajasthan-2047’. “Block-wise credit potentials are estimated for different sub-sectors, taking into account existing infrastructure and actual ground-level credit flows,” he said.

Within the estimates, agriculture and allied activities were estimated at ₹2.24 lakh crore and micro, small and medium enterprises at ₹2.27 lakh crore, an indication of the emerging growth balance between agriculture and non-agricultural sectors.

Mr. Babu said the credit potential assessed in the SFP will serve as a reference point in preparing the annual credit plan. A roadmap will also be created to realize credit projections, improve last-mile delivery and promote inclusion, especially for women farmers and cooperative institutions.

The seminar also praised the work done by primary agricultural credit unions (PACS), multi-purpose PACS, district center cooperative banks and farmer producer organizations in the 2025-26 period.

Among others, Additional Chief Secretary (Industry) Shikhar Agrawal, Additional Chief Secretary (Energy) Ajitabh Sharma, Principal Secretary (Cooperative) Manju Rajpal and Finance (Budget) Secretary Rajan Vishal were present.
