Nagpur NEET Candidate Gets Abu Dhabi Centre

Nagpur: A NEET-UG 2026 candidate from Nagpur was mistakenly allotted an examination center in Abu Dhabi for the re-examination on Sunday, prompting his parents to approach the authorities for correction.

Student Abdulla Talib had preferred centers in Nagpur, Wardha and Bhandara. However, the entry card issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA) stated that it was a center abroad.

His father is Dr. Muhammad Talib said the family raised the issue with NTA, which assured them that a revised center would be allocated to them.

This discrepancy was revealed the day before the re-examination, when a nationwide trial exercise was conducted to test the examination arrangements.

Reacting to the incident, Congress leader Anees Ahmed said such mistakes increase the stress faced by students.

“But the government mechanism is not improving. Do not play with students’ careers,” he said. —PTI
