Namma Art Bengaluru 2026 on till May 10

The second edition of Namma Art Bengaluru, a national art exhibition, kicked off on Wednesday (May 6) at the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath in the city. The exhibition will remain open until May 10.

The exhibition, which features more than 150 artists from across India, is curated by art curator and historian Lina Vincent. It showcases multiple art forms like Mysore paintings, fluid art, contemporary art, copper, brass and terracotta sculptures and features artists from states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, among others.

Geetanjali Vikram Kirloskar, president and managing director, Kirloskar Systems Pvt. Ltd., who opened the exhibition, said that art is not just what hangs on the wall, but also what we make of it.

“I started my art journey eight years ago, during the Covid-19 lockdown, and since then I have been exhibiting my artworks in exhibitions across India. I have previously participated in Chitra Santhe. This is the first time I am exhibiting my work at Namma Bengaluru Art. I feel that such initiatives offer a great platform for artists to showcase their work, connect with other artists and also sell their creations,” said Archana S., one of the artists featured in the exhibition.
