Nancy Guthrie’s family say they do NOT recognize masked figure filmed on night of abduction as investigators seen searching bushes near home of Annie and son-in-law Tommaso Cioni’s home

Nancy Guthrie’s family said they did not recognize the terrifying masked figure caught on camera outside her home the night she was abducted, as investigators began combing bushes near the 84-year-old eldest daughter’s home.

Federal officials finally released doorbell camera footage from Today Show host Savannah Guthrie’s mother’s home on Tuesday, after ten days of no leads in Nancy’s disappearance in the early morning hours of Feb. 1.

The photo shows an armed figure wearing a balaclava and carrying a backpack with black latex gloves tampering with Nest’s doorbell camera, a mother of three, that night.

The suspect was also seen removing the camera from its holder in the door frame when sheriff’s deputies arrived that morning.

Other footage also shows the person trying to cover the lens with a fist, then searching the area around the door, plucking a bunch of flowers from the entryway and waving them at the camera.

Nancy’s three children have since said they did not recognize the suspect in the video as both they and federal agents asked for the public’s help in catching the alleged kidnapper. NBC News reports.

“We believe he is still alive,” Today Show host Savannah Guthrie wrote while sharing the footage on Instagram. ‘Bring him home.’

But just hours after authorities released the disturbing footage, officers were seen going door-to-door in Annie Guthrie and her husband Tomasso Cioni’s neighborhood, asking for security camera footage from nearby businesses.

Other agents were seen searching the junkyard, the bushes behind Annie and Tommaso’s house, and another house at the far end of the street.

Neighbor John Grove even told the Daily Mail that investigators wanted a dry river bed on his property searched.

‘The police wanted to know if they could go through the laundromat next to my house, and I told them they could,’ he recounted. ‘I asked if this was related to the kidnapping, and they said, ‘We can’t tell you that.’

“They play their cards close to their chest,” Grove added.

‘I hope he hasn’t encountered any difficulties here; “This is very difficult terrain,” he said. ‘The other day we had a guy who had just moved here, got lost and died.

‘It wouldn’t end well for someone like him.’

Annie and Tommaso were the last people to see Nany before she disappeared after going to their house for dinner on January 31.

Tommasso then dropped her off at her home around 9:48 p.m., and the garage door closed around 9:50 p.m., according to police.

At 1:47 p.m., Nancy’s doorbell camera was disconnected and new footage was released showing the suspect ripping the camera from its holder in the door frame.

Another video released by authorities shows the person trying to cover the lens with his fist, then searching the area around the door, plucking a bunch of flowers from the entryway and waving them at the camera.

In another clip shared by the FBI, the person was seen leaning in and bowing their head as they first approached the door.

The gruesome footage was finally recovered Tuesday after FBI agents and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department conducted a deep dive into Nest’s backend systems because Nancy did not have a Nest subscription, which automatically uploads and saves images to a cloud storage platform.

Savannah Guthrie later shared the haunting photos on Instagram, saying: ‘We believe he is still alive. Bring him home.’
