“The meal here is the first class. Just a little rough sleep, but everything is passing.

“We hope we can use our new weapon soon, so we can throw a good garbage to Ivan and send him a packaging.”

Hitler’s last days in the shelter

Hitler committed suicide in the shelter with his partner Eva Braun for a long time on April 30 after his marriage.

Mr. Schaefer emphasized the importance of the new documentary.

He said: “This is a really unique film. A few documentaries brought us very closer to the thoughts and emotions of German soldiers and civilians in the last months of the war.

“Hearing his words, not filtered and written in real time, challenges us to confront the complexity of his experiences, not for excuse.

“As the last eyewitness passes, it is necessary not only to protect and interpret these personal accounts, not only valuable, but also for our historical responsibility.”
