Florida woman finds alligators fighting on her porch

A woman in Florida saw two alligators fighting when she went to her home to confront an intruder.

Kayla Burress, who lives in Ave Maria, Florida, was with her sleeping baby when she heard a noise on her porch and went to investigate.

“I thought someone was breaking in because I never thought alligators would come on my porch,” he told WINK-TV.

Instead, he came across two fighting crocodiles tearing apart the nets during their bloody fight.

He added: “They definitely looked like they were fighting over territory or something.

“It didn’t look like a mating ritual I’d ever seen, because there was blood and there was blood on its hindquarters as well as its chin inside the door.”

The mating season of crocodiles, which are known to be more aggressive and territorial, usually begins in April and lasts until September.

Kayla captured footage of one of the alligators biting the tail of another reptile while a licensed hunter took the animals away.

He admitted: “It was terrible.”

After the horrific incident, Kayla issues a warning to the nearby residents.

He said: “Everyone in the neighborhood, watch out for your kids. Watch out for the dogs. Because they were fast and they were strong.”
