NDA Targets 100 Seats in Assam Assembly Polls Next Year

Guwahati: Prime Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and AGP chief Atiul Bora, including the leader in ASSAM, the leader hit the congress with allegations of corruption during his term of office and set the goal of winning 100 of the 126 parliamentary seats in the next year’s elections.
In the presence of Union Interior Minister Amit Shah, on Friday, Sarma addressed a rally of Panchayat representatives and called on to protect Assam’s ‘Jati, Mati, Bheti’ (Community, Land, Foundation).
“We will give soil to our known people and we will move away from every inches from unknown people. We will not settle until we reach our goals.”
Wraps also claimed that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had recently threatened him with “Islamic scholar Madani”.
“Madani and Rahul Gandhi came and threatened me. We know how to use ‘Hengdang’ (Ahom Kılıç) and give an appropriate answer. We must fight again with Saraighat war.
“I challenge Madani and Rahul Gandhi to fight the people of Assam. We will fight and win this war.”
Sonowal, who hit the opposition party, claimed that the congress term was marked with “negligence, terrorism and disorders”.
“Forget development, the Congress had kept the Northeast in the dark. They have no right to question the BJP government. Congress Narendra Modi had even studied what the government did, the northeast would have developed so far.”
Former Assem Cm claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi “saved the Northeast from darkness and backwardness and is peace and development all over the region today.”
Bora, a state minister, claimed that the fundamentalist forces expanded during the congress term.
“But now, there has been a general improvement in law and order. Many peace agreements have been signed with the rebels under the government.”

Assam Assembly, 126-seat, next year will go to the elections in March-April.
Currently, the power of the ruling BJP in the 126 -member Assam Assembly 64, its allies AGP’s nine MLA and the UPPL have seven.
In the opposition camp, the power of the Congress has 26 members of the AIUDF, the BPF has three and a CPI (M) MLA. There is also an independent legislator.
