Negotiate or Face Problems, Trump Tells Iran

Washington, DC: While US President Donald Trump expressed confidence that Iran would enter into diplomatic talks, he warned that the country would “face problems” if it refused to cooperate.

speaking during a phone conversation with The John Fredericks ShowTrump took a firm stance on the necessity of a new agreement. “Well, they’re going to negotiate, and if they don’t negotiate, they’re going to run into problems they’ve never seen before,” he said.

He emphasized that preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons remains the main goal. “I hope they get a fair deal and rebuild their country, but they won’t have nuclear weapons,” Trump added.

The president underlined the global risks, saying such weapons could have catastrophic consequences. “We can’t let this happen. It could mean the destruction of the world and we won’t let that happen,” he said.

Defending the latest military actions, Trump said his administration “had no choice” and claimed progress was being made toward resolving the situation. “We did a great job, we’ll close this out and everyone will be happy,” he said.

Trump also took to Truth Social to defend the conflict, posting multiple messages in a row. He reiterated threats that they could target Iranian infrastructure if a deal is not reached and praised Operation Midnight Hammer, describing it as the “complete and utter destruction” of nuclear-related facilities.

These remarks drew a harsh reaction from Tehran. Mohammed Galibaf accused Trump of trying to turn the negotiations into a “surrender table”. Writing about X, he said that Iran will not accept threatened talks and is ready to respond.

Despite growing tensions and uncertainty over the ceasefire, there are signs of a possible diplomatic move. According to reports, Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has approved plans for negotiators to go to Islamabad for new talks.

The development points to a potential breakthrough ahead of a new round of high-stakes talks scheduled for Wednesday, although both sides continue to issue mutual warnings.
