Newlyweds Dua Lipa and Callum Turner continue their Sicilian love-in as they enjoy £4,000-a-night honeymoon at the hotel where The White Lotus was filmed after £1.5 million wedding

Newlyweds Dua Lipa and Callum Turner are enjoying a sunny honeymoon in Italy after their £1.5million wedding.

The couple were spotted at the luxury San Domenico Palace hotel in Taormina, near Catania, earlier this week and were later seen walking hand in hand through the picturesque town.

Many will recognize the hotel as the setting for HBO’s blockbuster series White Lotus, with its iconic cliff view and jaw-dropping views of Mount Etna.

The couple arrived on Monday after driving from Palermo, where they tied the knot in weekend-long celebrations attended by stars including Charli xcx, Elton John and Mark Ronson.

Callum, the pop star and rumored to be the next James Bond, was serenaded by Rocket Man Elton as they exchanged their vows under a pergola, while Dua held a lily of the valley bouquet in her hand.

Serving as the main setting for the second season of the popular HBO series showcasing the lives of the rich and famous hotel guests, San Domenico Palace is a luxury Italian hotel with a rich history of its own, featuring an impressive roster of celebrity guests including Oscar Wilde.

Four Seasons Hotel San Domenico Palace, where a suite costs up to 4,000 Euros per night, is located in Taormina, the hill town of Sicily on the Ionian Sea coast.

Located near vineyards, an ancient Greek theater and medieval villages, Dua and Callum’s stay at San Domenico coincided with the launch of the hotel’s summer book club, which focuses on the singer’s Service 95 reading list of novels and tips.

Dua, 30, and Callum, 36, are both keen readers and their wedding in Palermo featured a touching display of their shared love of literature, including a bookshelf.

Insiders said Dua was wearing black trousers, had her hair in a ponytail, and the couple was discreetly escorted by a bodyguard. At one point, they took selfies with their fans.

A spokesman for the hotel said: ‘With all due respect, we never discuss our guests. I’m sure you can understand.’

Later on Tuesday, the pair were seen having dinner at Il Convivio restaurant in the southern Italian resort town of Tropea, where customers posted photos of the couple online.

The manager of the restaurant, which is popular with VIPs and where actor Russell Crowe has also dined, told the Daily Mail: ‘I wasn’t here but I heard from staff that Dua Lipa and her husband had eaten at my restaurant.

‘I can’t tell you what they had, but considering our reputation, I’m sure they had a blast. We often see celebrities eating here. They might have come by yacht, I’m not sure.

A waiter at Il Convivio restaurant told the Daily Mail: ‘They arrived around 9pm. There were two guards with them and they were very careful.’

A waiter later told the Daily Mail: ‘They arrived around 9pm. There were two guards with them and they were very careful.

‘A few customers and some staff recognized them but we left them alone and they were not disturbed.

‘Some people approached them as they were leaving and offered their congratulations, and Dua replied, ‘Thank you.’

‘We had regional dishes and special pasta with nduja (local spicy sausage) and onions, they wanted to try the local cuisine.’

The 30-year-old pop star and the 36-year-old actor had their fill of the weekend with a three-day Italian extravaganza that started with a cocktail party at Palazzo Valguarnera Gangi.

On Saturday, Dua and Callum danced and treated their 200 guests to dessert at Villa Valguarnera, making sure sweet nods to their love story – thought to cost around £1.5million – were a big part of the day.

Events kicked off in the afternoon at the 18th-century mansion when Sir Elton John performed his hit Your Song during the ceremony, having arrived just an hour before the ceremony by private jet from Farnborough.

The party’s security was extremely high; The double steel ring around the venue left onlookers disappointed as the only VIP seen was designer Donatella Versace.

He created two white dresses that Dua wore for the event; the first was encrusted with a “sparkling” diamond for the ceremony, and the second was a white dress for the wild party.

Music could be heard from the speakers, but the speakers were directed into the villa so as not to disturb the residents.

Police closed the barricades and security personnel checked staff entering the grounds with clipboards and headsets, and waiters were asked to hand over their mobile phones.

One told the Daily Mail: ‘We had to put stickers on our devices’ camera and microphone and then put them in plastic bags.

‘I delivered mine at 11am and didn’t get it back until midnight; It was the longest time I didn’t have my phone with me and it probably helped me a bit!’

Sources said that Dua Lipa’s Albanian music and dances of the local Albanian community were also a reference to her Albanian heritage, and her mother and father applauded and danced enthusiastically.

The exchange of vows, which had no legal significance as they were officially married at the Marylebone registry office last weekend, was for the benefit of 150 family and friends.

Chairs were placed in a semicircle in front of Villa Valguarnera, with a gazebo in the middle where they exchanged their vows.

For the final part of the three-day extravaganza, the bride arrived around 6pm Sicilian time and made a grand entrance along a 650ft path lined with bougainvillea trees.

Dua and Callum partied until 6am as their £1.5million Sicilian wedding ended with a spectacular ten-minute fireworks display

The 30-year-old singer and the 36-year-old actor exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, hosting a lavish party at the historic Villa Valguarnera in Bagheria, east of Palermo.

As the temperature reached 30 degrees, the guests used the fans with the letters ‘D’ and ‘C’ left on the chairs to stay cool, and they wiped their eyebrows with handkerchiefs that read ‘Stay angry with me forever’ in red.

Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception on the terrace before sitting down to a three-course dinner in the villa’s lounges prepared by Michelin-recognized chef Tony Lo Coco.

They dined on anelletti alla Norma (a Sicilian pasta with eggplant), panelle (Sicilian chickpea pastry), and crocché (deep-fried potato balls).

Then we had traditional cannoli and cassate (traditional Sicilian sponge cake) for dessert.

Just before 11.30pm, a spectacular ten-minute fireworks display lit up the night sky above Villa Valguarnera.

Songs by Carl Cox, Martin Garrix, David Guetta and Peggy Gou played as people took to the dance floor to dance the night away.
