State orders twin probes into Davangere hospital oxygen cylinder blast

The oxygen cylinder explosion occurred at a hospital in Davangere.
The State Department of Health has ordered two separate investigations into an oxygen cylinder explosion in the operating theater of the Chigateri Regional Hospital in Davangere.
Health Minister UT Khader told Hindu He said that he instructed the authorities to determine the exact cause of the incident.
“There was no loss of life as the surgeries that day had not yet started in the operating room. at first glanceIt appears that the incident was caused by a short circuit. “This serves as a wake-up call for us and I have directed the Chief Secretary to inspect electrical systems in all hospitals run by the Ministry of Health,” he said.
Describing the incident as serious, Khader said he held talks with senior officials of the Ministry of Health and ordered the establishment of a high-level State investigation committee to conduct a detailed investigation into the circumstances leading to the explosion.
A separate investigation will also be conducted at the district level under the supervision of the deputy commissioner.
Stating that he asked both investigation teams to submit their reports within 15 days, the Minister said that strict action will be taken in accordance with the rules after examining the findings in the investigation reports.
