NHS ‘online hospital’ will help cut waiting lists, Starmer to announce

Sir Keir Starmer will make a new “online hospital” and will help to cut the waiting lists.

The Prime Minister will use his speech at the Leading Conference to identify NHS online plans that will connect patients to expert clinicians.

Labour claimed that the plan, which will start to operate in 2027, will present up to 8.5 million extra NHS appointments in the first three years.

In his speech at Liverpool, Sir Keir will say “a new world is coming ve and I want people to see this moment as the moment we renewed NHS for a new world for decades”.

Online hospital can be accessed through NHS application and will allow patients to choose between digital service and local hospitals.

Service users can access and monitor prescriptions, guide for scans and tests, and can take clinical advice to manage their condition.

Patients in need of a physical test or procedure will be able to reserve them in a nearby hospital, in the surgical center or in the community diagnostic center.

Sir Keir will define this as a new section in the story of NHS, the patients who use the future and under control ”.

“Cut for each person in this country. This national renewal is a British built for everyone.”

The Prime Minister will emphasize the need for the ongoing NHS modernization and insist on the responsibility of Labour of making health service appropriate for the coming years.

Sir Keir will say: orum I know how hard people work on NHS – I see my family – and I congratulate at every opportunity.

“However, the responsibility of this party is not only to celebrate NHS, but also to make it better.”

The schema is based on some already used ideas to reduce waiting times and allow patients to receive faster treatment or advice.

Daniel Elkeles, General Manager of NHS providers, said: “Online hospital can be a very important development by transforming the way of taking care of many patients.

“The way NHS provided outpatient treatment services has not changed much for decades, but we learned a lot about opportunities for new approaches using digital technology during Covid.

“It makes sense to devote time to plan this properly because there are many factors to consider.

“These include the need to avoid patient data and the ‘digital exclusion of’ digital exclusion ‘.

“It is important to have a new financing and will be an NHS organization with NHS personnel.

“This is a brave and exciting initiative, but the benefits should not come at the expense of destabilizing vital services that patients will continue to trust.”
