Niece and grand niece of infamous Iranian general are arrested by ICE after ‘celebrating deaths of US soldiers while living high life in LA’ – and now their green cards have been REVOKED

The nephew and grandson of a famous Iranian general were arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Los Angeles and their green cards were revoked.

Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her unnamed daughter were detained by ICE on Friday while living a luxurious life in the City of Angels.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the two were celebrating the deaths of U.S. soldiers during President Donald Trump’s ongoing war with Iran.

Rubio added that their permanent resident status, which allows them to live in the United States indefinitely, has been revoked and they will be deported at the first possible opportunity.

He wrote: ‘Until recently, Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter were green card holders living lavishly in the United States.

Afshar is the nephew of the late Iranian Major General Qassem Soleimani. He is also an outspoken supporter of the Iranian regime, celebrating attacks on Americans and calling our country the “Great Satan.”

‘This week I terminated the legal status of both Afshar and her daughter and they are currently in ICE custody awaiting removal from the US.

‘The Trump Administration will not allow our country to host foreign nationals who support anti-American terrorist regimes.’

Afshar is the nephew of the notorious Iranian general Qasem Soleimani (pictured), who was killed in a US drone strike at Baghdad Airport in January 2020.

Afshar is Qassem Soleimani’s nephew.

He was one of Iran’s most powerful military figures and was the commander of the Quds force when President Trump was killed in a US Reaper drone strike at Baghdad Airport in January 2020.

A press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also accused Afshar of ‘promoting Iranian regime propaganda’.

In the message, it was stated that he praised Iran’s new religious leader, condemned America as the “Great Satan” and expressed his fearless support for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which is defined as a terrorist organization.

Rubio said his department was alerted to Afshar’s antics because of his posts about Iran and the United States on his deleted Instagram account.

It is unclear how long she has lived in the United States and how old her daughter is.

Despite Afshar’s apparent hatred of the United States, he appeared to enjoy many of its freedoms.

Thanks to a draconian law imposed by rulers closely linked to her late uncle, she did not wear the headscarf, which is mandatory for women in Iran.

Afshar also faced a much lighter sentence than Iranians who attacked their government for their rants over the killing of tens of thousands of protesters on the Ayatollah’s orders in recent years.

Public records indicate Afshar lived in a $740,000 home in the Tujunga neighborhood of Los Angeles.

He bought the house in September 2021 for $505,000 with a $365,000 mortgage.

The modest property has two bedrooms and two bathrooms but is smartly decorated inside.

It is located on a hill offering stunning views of the Crescenta Valley and Verdugo Mountains.

In a video posted online, Afshar was filmed speaking Persian, with distinctive license plate decorations mounted on the living room wall visible in the background.

Afshar’s anti-American rhetoric has increased in recent weeks after President Trump began bombing Iran on February 28.

The country’s Religious Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was among those killed in the US-Israeli bombing that triggered international chaos.

Trump said he would resume the bombing within 48 hours if Iran does not reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a shipping channel through which most of the world’s oil supply must pass.
