NSW ambulance ramping figures turning but ‘more to do’, Minister says

In NSW, a half billion dollars of printing to cut hospital waiting times began to wash throughout the system, and a series of plans sent places to patients other than hospitals to be treated.

The data released on Wednesday show a large subpar ambulance ramp ratios since its pandemi began to develop.

The treatment of the most patient and the most severely injured patients (T2 Emergency Patients) has the most improved hospitals in Western Sydney, including Westmead, Blacktown and Cervberland.

T2 patients treated in compulsory ‘timely’ measures, compared to the same period of the previous year in the last three months from 29 percent to 37.5 percent rose.

For serious injured and sick people who were taken to the BlackTown Hospital, patients have been treated on a timely treated in 31.4 percent (17.7 percent) of the time – since 2022.

NSW Health Minister Ryan Park said, although the downward waiting times and ramp is promising, there are still more to be done, ”he said.

“I would like to thank the staff for their incredible work on realizing these important improvements.”

The figures from the June quarter show that NSW hospitals have shown the lowest ambulance ramp rams and the best T2 treatment times

The NSW government threw 500 million dollars for large accumulated jobs faced by health workers, attacked the problem through recruitment, and at the same time led patients to facilities outside the hospitals.

Health Minister, virtual emergency care services are now available throughout the state and people to allow people to heal at home, not in the hospital, he says. ‘Discharge Contexts’ has also been used to determine who can be sent home from the hospital.

Minister, last year about 500 nurses were taken to the emergency departments, he said.

Ramp ambulances and faster hospital seriously ill and injury, but clogs the emergency service for less serious patients.

Park said, “In high demand periods, those with less emergency conditions may experience longer waiting times when many serious patients are given priority for emergency care,” he said.

“Therefore, I would like to remind the community to remind you of your care options outside the hospital, which can make an unnecessary waiting in an ED.

“If you have a situation that does not threaten life, please phone to Healthdirect at 1800 022 222, where it is evaluated by a registered nurse who can potentially direct you to emergency care, even from the comfort of your own home to virtual care.”

People in NSW require or use much less ambulance than Queensland, Victoria and South Australia and NT.

The Australian Medical Association’s 2025 ramp report card shows last year, NSW per 1000 people, 157 in Victoria and 232 in Queensland, which required ambulance compared to 232 incidents.
