Childcare worker charged after allegedly slapping two young children at Sydney centre

A man who allegedly slapped two children with an open hand while they were at nursery in Sydney’s southwest has been charged by police.
The 25-year-old man allegedly attacked two children in his care, aged three and four, at the Panania childcare center on Thursday.
NSW Police said they responded to the allegations on Friday, following claims they were assaulted at 1pm the previous day.
On Saturday morning, police arrested the unnamed man who allegedly slapped the children and he was taken to Bankstown Police Station.
Police said he was charged with two counts of common assault.
The man was refused bail and is expected to appear in the Bail Division Court on Sunday.
