Nvidia violated anti-monopoly law, will continue investigation

China’s market regulator Monday said that NVIDIA has violated NVIDIA’s anti -monopoly law, according to a preliminary investigation, and added that Beijing would continue to investigate the US chip giant.
Nvidia shares fell by 2% in premmarket trade.
At the end of last year, China’s market regulation state administration (Samr) launched an investigation into NVIDIA about the acquisition of Mellanox and some agreements during the purchase. In 2020, NVIDIA acquired the Israeli technology company, which created network solutions for data centers and servers, with an agreement approved by China at certain conditions.
In the preliminary investigation, Samr said that Nvidia violated China’s anti -Monopoli laws regarding these purchases and conditions.
