A woman who poisoned three of her relatives of her husband, who was alienated with a beef tied with toxic mushrooms, was sentenced to life imprisonment.

Justice Beale said that Erin Patterson betrayed the trust of the closest ones: “Your crimes included a tremendous betrayal of trust. Your victims were your relatives with marriage. More than that, as you accept in your testimonies, it was good for you and your children for years.”
No regret
He also added: “Your regret is pouring salt into the wounds of all victims.”
In the hearing summary, Justice Christopher Beale said: “I do not hesitate to find out that your crime has entered into the worst category for murder crimes and murder attempts, taking into account the aggravating conditions and victim effects of your crimes.
“The weight of your crimes guarantees the implementation of maximum penalties for your crimes.”
Erin Patterson’s conditions in prison
Justice Beale announced that Patterson had a maximum security grade in prison because of his fame crimes and put him at “important risk” from other prisoners. The court was informed that Patterson had spent about 22 hours a day in his cell and was not allowed to interfere with other prisoners in Dame Phyllis Frost Center.
The dishes and medicines are passed through a lid in the cell door and remain in the cell for 24 hours during the locations. It has a minimum interaction with others or access to facilities such as library.

Full sentence: Lifetime imprisonment for a period of 33 years of parole.
Patterson will return to Dame Phyllis Frost Center, where he is sentenced to spend at least 33 years of his life. Justice Beale said: “For your protection, there is a chance to keep in cell imprisonment for the coming years.”
