Andhra Pradesh liquor scam: High Court grants bail to main accused Raj Kesireddy

The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, granted bail to Raj Kesireddy alias Kesireddy Rajasekhar Reddy, the main accused in the ₹ 3,200 crore Andhra Pradesh liquor scam.

The Supreme Court had rejected Mr. Kesireddy’s bail plea in February 2026, observing that such massive corruption could not have been possible without a criminal nexus between bureaucrats and political leaders, that he was not an ordinary person and could not compare himself with other accused.
