Delhi Government Orders Installation of Anti-Smog Guns in High-Rises by November 29

New Delhi: The Delhi Government required all private and government buildings with a G+5 -fold height must have been required to establish anti -Smog weapons until November 29th. This directive aims to address the issue of air pollution in Delhi in winter, especially in winter such as PM10 and PM2.5, in the winter months when Delhi Environmental Minister Manjinder Sirsa increased significantly to PTI.
According to the public by the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC), all commercial complexes, shopping centers, hotels, office buildings, educational institutions and other high-rise structures with a built-in area exceeding 3,000 square meters are necessary to distribute anti-Smog weapons. However, housing houses, societies and complexes are exempt from this task.
The number of anti -smog pistols required will vary depending on the built -in area of each building.
For properties with a resident area of less than 10,000 square meters, at least three weapons are mandatory. In the notification, buildings with 10,001 to 15,000 square meters accumulated areas should establish at least four pistols, while 15.001 and 20,000 square meters should have at least five.
To establish at least six pistols, property of 20,001 to 25,000 square meters is required. Furthermore, an extra anti -smog pistol should be added for an additional of each 5,000 square meters.
The arrangement applies to all commercial buildings, shopping centers, hotels, office complexes, educational institutions (including universities) and other structures with a height of G+5 floors and above.
The government may also include other structures under regulation as well as prescribed.
Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, “Our biggest priority is to protect the inhabitants from the harmful effects of air pollution. Especially winter approaches are made. Open directives are taken at every step and open directives have been published to ensure the appropriate application. Anti-Smog weapons will play an important role in improving air quality and this government will be able to provide a healthy environment to the Delhi people.”
DPCC announced that anti-Smog weapons should be operational throughout the year, except for the monsoon period between 15 June and 1 October. The installation and operation should definitely monitor the detailed instructions given by the authorities.
The deadline for fully compliance with this regulation is set for 29 November 2025 and is given to building owners and facility managers six months after the notification date to complete the installation and to ensure that all equipment is completely functional.
DPCC called all relevant parties to move without delay to meet the deadline and avoid penalties.
