Flames engulf truck outside Central Station in Brisbane CBD
A commercial truck burst into flames in central Brisbane.
Emergency services were called to the fire on Ann Street outside Central Station just before 1pm.
A Queensland Fire Service spokesman said there was no one inside the truck.
The footage shows flames coming out of the truck’s cargo canopy and the cabin is unaffected.
Witnesses reported that they could feel heat and thick black smoke from the other side of Ann Street.
The fire was extinguished within minutes.
The fire was just 400 meters away from the road, which was closed by police early on Thursday. When a “suspicious item” is found in a bush.
