Newly knighted Sir David Beckham celebrated in style after receiving his rank from King Charles at Windsor Castle on Tuesday night.

David’s close friend Gordon Ramsay hosted a dinner at a Chelsea, London restaurant where the star partied until the early hours with his nearest and dearest.

Sir David looked a little tired as he emerged from the extravagant event at 1am, holding Victoria’s hand as she hid traces of joy behind large sunglasses.

Holding his wife with one hand and the precious souvenir of the day with the other, David could not bear to part with his rank medal.

Lady Beckham changed from the elegant navy blue dress she wore at the daytime ceremony and opted for a skintight black long number and a fur bolero for the night’s festivities.

Meanwhile, David starred in a classic velvet tuxedo, having previously worn a tailored suit designed by his designer wife for the royal ceremony.

The couple’s three youngest children, Romeo, 24, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14, wore impressive outfits as they left the venue with Cruz’s girlfriend, Jackie Apostel, 29.

Harper, 14, matched her mother in another custom design from the brand Victoria Beckham: a long satin-lined dress in a baby pink hue, complete with a feathered bolero jacket.

Jackie stood out in her burnt orange silk halter gown, probably designed by Victoria, while her boyfriend showed off his sense of style with quirky braces.

A source close to the family told the Daily Mail that family friend Gordon was happy to host the dinner party as a gift for his best friend.

‘As David’s best friend, Gordon decided the best gift was to throw him a great dinner,’ the insider said.

‘David, his children, his sisters, their parents and Victoria’s mother and father were there.’

Sir David was made a knight of the British Empire during his appointment on Tuesday for his services to sport and charity, particularly his influence on football over a two-decade period and his subsequent ambassadorial role with UNICEF.

The former footballer was welcomed by King Charles as he received his knighthood at Windsor Castle for his services to sport and charity, and his young sons were among the first to offer his congratulations.
