One Killed, Two Injured In Road Accident Near Chandragiri

Tirupati: One person died and two people were seriously injured in a traffic accident that occurred on Thursday morning. On the Puthalapattu-Naidupeta National Highway near Agarala village in Chandragiri Mandal in the district. According to the police, the accident occurred when a speeding Eicher vehicle (truck) lost control, hit a road junction, entered the opposite lane and collided with a car coming from the opposite direction.
The impact of the collision was severe and Rajkumar (35), who was driving the car, died. The victim was said to be a resident of Jeevakona area in Tirupati.
On receiving information about the accident, Chandragiri police personnel rushed to the accident scene and immediately started rescue efforts. The injured were pulled out from under the rubble and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police identified the injured as Venkatesh Naidu and the driver of the vehicle, Nageswara Rao. Both people were seriously injured in the accident and their treatment continues. In the preliminary investigation carried out by the police, it was determined that the main cause of the accident was excessive speed. A case has been registered and further investigation is on to establish the circumstances leading to the accident.
