Pak: Army Deployment, Firing Reported In Mir Ali As Residents Protest Ongoing Violence | World News

According to a post shared by PTM Holland on channel X, a new wave of violence has gripped Mir Ali district of North Waziristan; It triggered fear, injuries and widespread disruption to civilian life.
The post claimed that the situation was reminiscent of a “painful and bloody” incident for locals, with civilians including women and children injured and pets also affected amid the chaos.
PTM Holland stated that the incident caused significant financial and personal losses for the residents of the region and dragged the society into fear, grief and anxiety. In response to what it described as “persistent brutality, violence and insecurity”, large numbers of people reportedly took to the streets in Mir Ali to stage peaceful protests demanding an end to violence and harassment against civilians.

According to the post, protesters asserted that ordinary citizens would no longer tolerate insecurity and warned that demonstrations would continue until “genuine, lasting and civil peace” was achieved in North Waziristan, where people’s lives, property and dignity would be effectively protected. The demonstrators emphasized that the people of the region are not looking for war or instability, but instead want peace, justice and a dignified life.
PTM Holland rejected the portrayal of North Waziristan as a “danger zone”, questioning why the region was claimed to be safe for “generals, contractors and war companies” despite the risks faced by civilians. The post argued that the real threats to the public came from bombings, explosives, checkpoints, drone strikes, and what it called “fake operations” rather than civilians.
In the post, it was stated that seeking political and legal rights should not be considered a crime, and it was claimed that silencing civilians and inflicting violence on them under the name of “peace” is a real injustice. Reiterating the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement’s stance, PTM Holland claimed that PTM does not advocate violence, but instead represents “life, honor, justice and the constitution”.
PTM Holland (slang for “free” or “at someone else’s expense”) said that army forces entered Mir Ali and that weapons were used freely, according to the information conveyed in the post. It was also claimed that heavy fire broke out in the area after a loud explosion and this attack was continuing at the time of publication, severely affecting public life and spreading fear and chaos among the residents.
Stating that the struggle for rights and justice will continue and calling on the people not to remain silent and not to be afraid, the article ended by emphasizing that the land and rights belong to the local people.
