Pakistani Forces Kill Two More Civilians In Balochistan | World News

Two more Baloch civilians were killed extrajudicially by Pakistani forces in Balochistan, a leading human rights organization said on Tuesday.
The latest incident occurred against the backdrop of an ongoing cycle of persecution marked by a surge in extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances and torture across the state.
Baloch National Movement Human Rights Department Paank stated that Hamza Baloch, a worker by profession in the Sourgar Oranch area of Khuzdar district of Balochistan, was forcibly disappeared by a Pakistan-backed death squad on October 29 and was handed over to the Pakistani army. After five days of illegal detention, his bullet-riddled body was found in the Jootar Koor Korak area of Awaran district on Monday morning, the human rights organization said.

Additionally, Paank stated that Bahad Baloch, a resident of Kulaho village in Kech district, was brutally killed by Pakistan-backed death squads and his lifeless body was transferred to Turbat Civil Hospital on November 1.
Paank said, “He was working in the Kuntani border area of Gwadar to earn a living for his family. On his way to his home, the team members stole his bike and other belongings and killed him, without considering his family status. After killing him, they tied a rope around his neck, trying to make it look like suicide, and hid the body in the nearby mosque, after which they were transferred to Turbat hospital.”
Expressing its solidarity with the grieving family, the rights institution demanded that those responsible be held accountable. He added that Pakistan was directly involved in heinous war crimes in Balochistan through its notorious security forces and local militias on their payroll. Paank appealed to the global community to freeze funds provided to Pakistan, alleging that such funds were being used to perpetuate war crimes in Balochistan.
Drawing attention to the atrocities in Balochistan, Pank also stated that Baloch youth Asif Hasil, a fisherman by profession, was the victim of the “heinous crime” of enforced disappearance by personnel of Pakistan’s notorious Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and intelligence agencies at Pasni checkpoint in Gwadar district on Monday evening. Security forces conducted an “illegal and unfair” raid on his home in the middle of the night and seized all mobile phones belonging to family members, before he was unlawfully detained.
The human rights organization claimed that illegal detentions had traumatized the Baloch community in general, and that the intervention of security forces in particular had made the situation more worrying for the locals.
Paank called on the international community to immediately intervene and hold the Pakistani state accountable for the continuous human rights violations targeting Baloch civilians.
