While demonstrators demand the restoration of access to social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X and WhatsApp, at least 19 people died on a single day when security forces opened protesters in various parts of Nepal.
The ban entered into force on 4 September and targeted platforms that did not register for the Nepal government. Authorities said that social media users with false identities committed fraud and other crimes through hate speech, false news and some platforms.
This pointed out the highest death fee since the 2006 movement to overthrow King Gyanendra. According to Ani, a total of 18 people died in the protests that lasted for weeks to end the centuries -old monarchy in Nepal and paved the way for his country to become a democratic republic.

The number of injured injuries at the moment remains uncertain due to a large case volume, including protesters, security personnel and journalists. It is reported that hospitals such as trauma center and civil hospital struggled to host patients and started to direct the cases to other facilities.
The memorial reported that the authorities have added that the identities of the deceased and many injured people have not yet been approved.
The Ministry of Health had previously instructed all injured protesters to provide free treatment to hospitals. The curfew orders were given to various parts of the country to include unrest.
