Polavaram Works Going On at Brisk Pace: Nimmala

Vijayawada: Minister of Water Resources Nimmala Rama Naidu said Polavaram irrigation project works are progressing at a paced speed to be completed according to the program until the end of 2027.
The minister said on Tuesday, Prime Minister N. Chandrabababu Naidu’s Polavaram project for the Polavaram project, the authorities, planned for construction for construction of the 1,396 m GAP-2 diaphragm wall of 1,396 m length of the GAP-2 diaphragm wall of 500 m, he said.
The Minister said that the authorities used three trench cutters, three grabs and other equipment for the diaphragm wall and that he was sure of completing the wall works until the end of December 2025.
Referring to the last floods of the Godavari River, the Minister said that 90 percent of the works in the project area were completed in the study area and the works related to the Upper Dam were completed.
The Coalition government, led by Naidu, who criticized the YSRC regime for not being carried out for the project, has undertaken the commitment to complete its execution according to the program.
