Pauline Hanson’s daughter reveals toll of ‘attacks’ on mother

The daughter of One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has spoken of the toll her mother’s scrutiny has taken on her over the years, claiming she has been subjected to death threats since she was a child.
In an interview with Sky News, Lee Hanson said his mother “experienced wealth” during her political career.
He added that he also faced death threats due to the party leader’s separatist views.
When asked about criticism of her mother, she said: “Oh, look, she went through the ringer too, you know, there’s no doubt about that.”
“Everything from prison to death threats. I also received death threats as a kid and had to hide. So yeah, it was tough.”
But he added that his mother taught him to deal with criticism.
“One of the things my mother taught me is resilience and perseverance, and that’s what you get from that, and it just makes you stronger, more determined,” she added.

“If you let people bring you down, then they win, and that’s not the breaking point I’m cut off from.
“When I see some of the things and I see there is so much misinformation out there and so many terrible, terrible personal attacks on my mother and me, it makes me more determined.”
Despite his mother’s harsh criticism of net-zero policies, he admitted that he, too, had installed solar panels on his home in Tasmania.
“My house definitely has solar power,” he said.
“Let’s continue to support homes and businesses using solar energy, because it’s needed. I’m all for it, but not the environmental destruction of our lands.”
He also called on the Liberal National Coalition to work with One Nation.
“One Nation is not the enemy of the Coalition,” he said.
“Let’s work together.”
