PCC Chief Bhakta Das Attacks PM Modi, BJP Ahead Of Nuapada Assembly Bypoll

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President Bhakta Charan Das launched a scary attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP in front of Nuapada Assembly by Nuapada Assembly on Sunday. If the Congress came to power, the words came after Modi warned “looting”.
Addressing a press conference, DAS said that the Prime Minister’s comments reflected the concern of the Congress on the increasing popularity of the state. “Why is the Prime Minister targeting us, although he has not been found for 11 years and 25 years from the center? This clearly shows that the Congress is here,” he said.
DAS accused BJP for bad management and corruption, especially in Odisha’s mining sector. “Thirty -four coal mine is rented in Angul. Trees are cut, young people are unemployed, farmers are lacking fertilizers and women are insecure. BJP’s benefits while claiming to protect the environment,” he said.
Responding to the prime minister’s allegations of “looting”, DAS challenged BJP and claimed that the appropriate control of both sides will reveal the real beneficiaries for their term of office. He also accused BJP of manipulating the votes in the previous elections, BJD 51 mla won the seat, while not securing any MP seat, he said.
Emphasizing the Congress’s connection with the public, Das said, “Congress deals with the concerns of the citizens and encourages accountability. This disturbed BJP in Delhi.”
Das in the upcoming Nuapada Bypoll gave confidence in Congress’s chance. The president of the current Nuapada Regional Congress and the Son Son of the Land ”Ghasiram Majhi will compete. “Thousands of people are expected to attend the congress soon. I will visit Nuapada on 5 or 6 October. Our war room is active with six committees in six regions.” He said.
Pointing to historical tendencies, Das said Congress has a strong support in the election zone.
“In 2019, Congress was ahead of 1,000 votes against the BJP. Ghasiram Majhi, the President of the Nuapara Congress, received 50,000 votes, which was later independent, and our official candidate received 15,000 people. Today, we have 65,000 votes compared to 62,000.”
However, there was no reaction until this report was submitted from BJP.
