In 2022, the families of two fatal police officers in Wieambill were defined as a “compelling” 12 -month investigation proposals.
Queensland police officers 29 -year -old Rachel McCrow and 26 -year -old Matthew Arnold joined a distant bush property about 300 kilometers west of Brisbane, while on December 12, 2022, the neighboring area was shot and killed.
Three of them were shot by conspiracy theorists Gareth and Stacey Train and Gareth’s brother Nathaniel. The trio was later killed by the officers after an hour of siege.

An investigation held the last public trial on 29 August last year, and McCrow and Arnold’s mourning families say that the deadly conditions that have led to their murders can still occur today.
“What to take for the Queensland government, [the Queensland Police Service] And the police union is actually to do something about this disturbing situation? “Rachel’s mother Judy McCrow and Matthew’s parents Sue and Terry Arnold said in a joint statement.
“We are told to use personal mobile phones due to the bad purchase of police officers.”
Last year’s investigation examined key issues such as lack of effective communication on regional issues and concerns about how intergical information was shared among the police.
Families also wanted to use air drones so that civil servants could cover the dangers of a property before joining. There is a drone strategy in the Queensland police, but is limited to expert teams.
