Brock Lesnar returns to WWE Raw one month after apparent retirement

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Brock Lesnar made his shocking return to WWE on “Monday Night Raw” exactly one month after he appeared to be retiring following his loss to Oba Femi.

Femi was about to host his weekly open challenge against any Raw contestant. When he got in the ring, Lesnar attacked him from behind, sending the crowd in Greensboro, North Carolina into a frenzy.

Lesnar caught “The Ruler” completely off guard by hitting four F-5s on Femi. Lesnar smiled as Femi wriggled in pain from multiple finishing moves.

Lesnar appeared to have truly retired after the loss at WrestleMania 42. In fact, Paul Heyman, who was seen crying in the ring when the two embraced, was convinced that Lesnar was done with professional wrestling.

“Oh, did I forget to mention that BRRRRRRRRRRRROCK LESNAR decided to do something about Oba Femi?” he wrote to X later that night. “I’m sorry. It must have slipped my mind!”

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T addressed Lesnar’s potential retirement in an interview with Fox News Digital last month.

“You know wrestlers, we never retire,” he said. “It’s always in the back of our mind to go out there and have another game. That’s the thing about this business, man, it’s hard to leave money on the table.

“So if someone comes to Brock Lesnar with the right gimmick for one more match, I’m sure Brock Lesnar can digest that for five minutes and go out there and get it done. I can get it down for five minutes and go out and get it done.”

Heyman delivered a contract to Raw GM Adam Pearce for a rematch between Lesnar and Femi at Clash in Italy. He said Lesnar’s name was already on the contract and Pearce only needed Femi’s signature.

“Tribal Warfare” is coming to Clash in Italy

“Monday Night Raw” ended similarly; Roman Reigns or Jacob Fatu call each other out and one man beats up the other to end the show. This time it went differently.

As Fatu began the night by heading to the ring, Adam Pearce was trying to convince Reigns that it was time to fire Fatu after what he did last week. But the original plan went out the window. Jey and Jimmy Uso came out from behind Fatu to confront her.

Jimmy Uso tried to calm Fatu down, but Jey Uso was having none of it. He entered the ring with a chair. It looked like Fatu could easily take on The Usos until Reigns joined the fray.

The Bloodline group worked together to send a message to Fatu. When Pearce came out to officially announce Fatu’s firing, he grabbed the microphone and called out Reigns. He wanted “Tribal War”.

Reigns apparently accepted this and the match was set for the Clash in Italy on May 31, with the World Heavyweight Championship again on the line.

“Tribal War” was primarily a match between Bloodline faction members to crown a new “Tribal Chief”. Reigns had defeated Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa in each of their previous two encounters. The two were forced to acknowledge him as “Tribal Chief” after losing to Reigns.

Fatu will have to do the same if she loses to Reigns for the second time in a row.

Seth Rollins came to Raw challenging Bron Breakker, claiming that Breakker couldn’t beat him on his own. Instead, he recruited Vision member Austin Theory.

Rollins admitted that he had no allies on Raw and had to take on The Vision on his own. It turns out Rollins has at least one person in his corner: Street Profits team member Angelo Dawkins.

“Look, dude, we don’t have to be friends. Hey, we don’t have to trust each other. ‘I can’t speak for the thesis, but last week, I said, take care of yourself,'” Dawkins said to Rollins before Rollins’ encounter with Theory.

Rollins said he understood no one had his back, but thanked Dawkins for his words and apologized for taking the hit from Breakker’s spear last week.

Rollins and Theory’s match took fans to the end of Raw; Rollins, Theory and Logan Paul were trying to do as much damage as they could before defending their tag titles against the Street Profits on Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Rollins got the win against Theory with flying colors.

When Paul came to beat up Rollins, Dawkins came out to make the save. The tables quickly turned against him, and he reluctantly allowed Montez Ford to get involved. Ford questioned Dawkins’ involvement and then saved him from Breaker’s spear.

Rollins returned to the ring and began chasing Breakker. However, after Paul distracted him, Breakker hit a spear. Rollins and Breakker began going after each other and were separated by Pearce and the authorities.
