Pink Protection Project services extended to late hours in Aluva

District Superintendent of Police (Ernakulam rural) K S Sudarshan said in Aluva on Sunday (March 8) that the services of the police’s ‘Pink Protection Project’ for women protection will be extended between 9 pm and 5 am in Aluva town and its surroundings.
The officer made the announcement while inaugurating the ‘Nirbhaya Nisha’ project in Ernakulam rural limits as part of International Women’s Day celebrations. The statewide project aims to provide immediate police assistance and strengthen safety regulations for women going to work late.
Mr. Sudarshan, along with Aluva mayor Saiji Jolly and actor Aditi Ravi, organized a night march as part of the event. Over 200 women attended.
Kochi city police organized various programmes, including a march of women from Ernakulam boat jetty to the rainbow bridge on Marine Drive, as part of the ‘Nirbhaya Nisha’ project.
