Police set up a cordon in a central area of Plymouth on January 14 following a report of a suspected bomb. Devon and Cornwall Police asked people to avoid the area as crews worked to make the scene safe.
In a statement, police said: “We were called at 11.40am on Wednesday, January 14, following reports of suspicious ammunition at a construction site in Martin Street, Plymouth. A 100-metre cordon and associated roads are currently closed. People are asked to avoid the area while attempts are made to locate and secure the ammunition.
