Polanski: My response to Golders Green arrest ‘wasn’t appropriate’ | News

Zack Polanaski has expressed his regret after resharing a critical Metropolitan Police post following the Golders Green stabbing attack.

The Green Party leader shared a social media post claiming that police officers who arrested the suspect “repeatedly and violently kicked a mentally ill man in the head” while he was already immobile. He has since apologized.

It seems Sky News On Sunday, May 3, Mr. Polanski was interviewed by Trevor Phillips about the incident. “What were going through your mind when you retweeted this?”

Mr Polanksi admitted it was “not appropriate” to share the critical post and that he should have raised his views with Met Police chief Sir Mark Rowley instead.

“I think you can both recognize the bravery of the officers … and find the appropriate forum to say that no one should be above scrutiny, especially the police,” he said.
