Police in protective gear investigating ‘ongoing incident’ at Kensington Gardens

Police in protective suits examine several items left in London’s Royal Park.

The Metropolitan Police said officers closed Kensington Gardens to the public while they “assessed a number of discarded items”.

The Met added that it was not believed to pose any increased risk to public safety at this stage, but members of the public were urged to avoid the area while officers continued their work.
